Ann Deignan 2003 Ann Deignan is a contemplative poet who invites us to rest in the beauty and tranquility of language, even when her subject is the dynamic, shape-shifting mystery of impermanence spelled in an alphabet of migration. This second book of poems also contains a short story, and throughout we are summoned to move into a deepening awareness of how soul life is shared among an array of familiars who engage each other in a process of awakening to the transitoriness of existence. With delicacy of language Deignan elucidates the patterns we make in our wayfaring - from season to season, from shore to shore, from boundary to boundary - in our habits of migration. |
